Dermal Fillers

Dr David Jack, one of London’s leading anti-ageing skincare specialists, visits us on a monthly basis and is fully qualified in the administration of Dermal Fillers. He has been using dermal fillers for many years and uses minimal quantities for the maximum effects.

Juvederm Ultra Dermal Filler is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in our skin that helps to hydrate and adds volume.

Dermal fillers can be used to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds and restore the skin’s volume. It can also be used to redefine and plump lips and even change the shape of the nose without the need for surgery.

Skin is numbed with a local anaesthetic cream, as well as sterilized. Then the filler is injected under the skin with a fine needle. It is normal to experience some swelling in the area injected and occasionally some bruising too.

The body naturally turns over the Hyaluronic acid and the rate it does this varies from person to person. The effects of your fillers can last from between 6 -18 months. Lip filler effects may last for a shorter time. The effect can also be reversed if for any reason you do not like the result by injecting the area with an enzyme, which breaks down the filler.
